Filter Free removes rust, scale. oil and fine particles from the filter that backwashing fails to remove. Simply mix with lukewarm water. You can tell that is working by the distinct color changes. For effective cleaning, the solution is red: if you have an insufficient amount of Filter Free dissolved in the water, the solution will be a yellowed orange.
